Bio
A Lifetime of Exploration

Huong Tran was born in the late 80s and raised in Vietnam, Southeast Asia. She moved to Lebanon, Tennessee, in 2014 to pursue her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. When she was little, Tran spent most of her time on one hobby – drawing. Crayola's color pencils were her buddies. Colors have always attracted her. Even though she was only taught to draw lines and color pictures from a young age, she kept improving her skills.
Whether in graphic design, drawing, or painting, the words that describe her work’s characteristics are bold, colorful, realistic, digital and visionary. Her art is related to nature, animals, humanity, and culture. Most of Tran’s art involves the use of mixed-media materials.
Huong Tran participated in Focus Show 2016, Focus Show 2017, and Senior Show 2018 at the Adams Fine Art Gallery, Cumberland University. She was awarded First Place of Mixed Media 2016, Second Place of Painting 2016, and the Award of Excellence 2017. A BFA was confirmed in May 2018. Tran achieved her MBA at Cumberland University, class of 2020.
